Paying tribute to the women who have left their mark on today's culture and society; from Marlene Dietrich to Marilyn Monroe, Montblanc's Muses collection reflects a particular muse's unique characteristics via thoughtful design details in each and every edition. This special edition Montblanc Muse is dedicated to one of the most charismatic sopranos of the 20th century, Maria Callas a.k.a. "La Divina" which translates to "divine one". The pen's cap and barrel are made of turquoise precious resin, one of her favorite colors, combined with platinum-coated fittings. The cap is crowned by a white Montblanc emblem while the clip is decorated with a synthetic stone, also in a turquoise blue color reminiscent of the Aegean Sea, in memory of her Greek ancestry. Around the platinum-coated cone is an embossed signature of Callas & pattern of laurel leaves, a costume detail from her role in Vincenzo Bellini's "Norma". It is equipped with a handcrafted Au 585 / 14 K gold nib, embossed with kohl outlined cat eyes typical of Callas' image and her title "La Divina". The fine-sized nib measures 0.50 mm and finished in rhodium coating.
