Italo Fontana's newest version of the Classico, a two-hander in a moderately sized and thin case, combines elegance with U-Boat's characteristic design. This Classico Stratos features a 40 mm stainless steel case that holds a matte black dial with three superimposed layers under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and bordered on by a polished tungsten bezel. It has black and luminescent baton hands, indices, and Arabic numerals with steel brushed frames at the 4, 8, and 12 o'clock as hour markers, all treated with beige Super-LumiNova. This "Destro" (right-handed) gents' sporty dress watch is also equipped with a lefty crown, highly distinctive with its "canteen watch" inspired look. On the right side of the case is a fixed plate with its serial number and "U-BOAT" inscription while a visible ruby jewel accent is set between the 2 and 3 o'clock positions. It is fitted with a dark brown leather strap and secured by a stainless steel signed buckle. This watch also features an exhibition caseback sealed shut by 7 external screws with a U-shaped sapphire window showcasing a Swiss manual wind movement personalized to U-Boat specifications, beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour and generating up to 42 hours of power reserve and is water-resistant up to 100 meters/330 feet.
