Launched in 1969, the instantly recognizable square classic and heavily inspired by motor-racing, The Monaco collection is TAG Heuer's unique icon of avant-garde heritage and savoir-faire. This contemporary Monaco in partnership with Gulf results in a bold, defiant dial with its iconic stripes, colors, and printed TAG Heuer and Gulf logos, even securing the 2022 Iconic Watch Prize from the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. It features a 39 x 39 mm stainless steel square case with a majestic sunray navy blue dial and silver-tone square sub-dials at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions under a thick and beveled scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It has silver-tone indexes and Arabic numeral "60" at the 12 o'clock position partnered with luminescent secondary dot hour markers, and main minute and hour hands that are coated with Super-LumiNova. The distinct case features the crown at the 3 o'clock position flanked by two octagonal chronograph pushers. A subsecond register with a date aperture beneath at the 6 o'clock position adds function and symmetry. A mix of white, orange, and turquoise accents are evident along the different dial and subdial elements such as the dial texts, TAG Heuer and Gulf emblems, hands, minute track, date, and signature Gulf stripings along the right side. Fitted with a matching blue perforated leather strap secured by a folding clasp with a double push-button release. The exhibition caseback reveals the chronograph’s new engine, the in-house caliber Heuer 02, a Swiss automatic chronograph movement that boasts of an 80-hour power reserve and is water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet.
