IWC Portugieser Yacht Club "Orlebar Brown" Special Edition Automatic Flyback Chronograph Stainless Steel Blue Dial Blue Rubber Strap Date Mens Watch Model# IW390704 Introduced in the late 1960's, the IWC Portugieser Yacht Club is a series of models that represented an exclusive club, a club for sophisticated sportsmen as well as ordinary watch customers who appreciate and wear tool watches with a great deal of panache. This Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph is a special edition collaboration with British swimwear apparel brand, Orlebar Brown. It features a 44.6 mm stainless steel case that holds an exquisite sunray marine-blue dial under a scratch-resistant convex sapphire crystal. The dial is adorned with silver-tone and luminescent leaf hands and applied Arabic numerals as hour markers. Matching silver-tone and luminescent applied minute markers along the white minutes track complement the blue minute markers on the white sloped flange. Two subdials display running seconds with an integrated date aperture at 6 o'clock while the 60-minute and 12-hour timers are combined in a totalizer at 12 o'clock. The pushers and protected crown occupy the right side of the case from 2 to 4 o'clock. Touches of red contrast are evident via the chronograph seconds hand with flyback function and 12 o'clock subdial accents amidst the blue and white theme. Fitted with a blue rubber strap and secured by a signed and co-branded steel buckle which resemble the designer label's swimsuit side-fasteners. This watch also features a screw down exhibition caseback showcasing the IWC-manufactured caliber 89361, a Swiss automatic flyback chronograph movement boasting 68 hours of power reserve, beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is water-resistant up to 100 meters/330 feet.
