Offering function-based design at its most successful, the Big Crown ProPilot collection is full of pioneering timepieces aimed at pilots who value its cockpit-ready functionality and aesthetic. This ProPilot Altimeter is the brand's second-generation release and an update to the 2014 Big Crown ProPilot Altimeter, officially unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2023. It features a 47 mm multi-piece carbon fiber case with a gray PVD-coated titanium caseback, dual screw-down crowns, and a distinct coin-edge bezel that holds a matte black dial under a double-domed sapphire crystal. It has white and luminescent obelisk hands, white Arabic numerals and indices as hour markers, and a date window within the central dial. The altimeter with feet scale (max. of 19,700 feet) is printed along the sloped flange, followed by a recessed atmospheric pressure scale, calibrated and set via the oversized crown at the 4 o'clock position. Hovering along the recessed space is a yellow indicator for altitude and a red indicator for air pressure. It is fitted with a green textile strap on a security folding clasp, which interestingly resembles an aircraft seatbelt. Encased within the specially-engraved solid caseback is the Oris caliber 793-1, a Swiss automatic movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, generating up to 56 hours of power reserve and is water-resistant up to 100 meters/330 feet.
