As early as 1910's, Oris began making pilot's watches and has been a pioneer in the field ever since. One of its signature designs, the Big Crown, was first introduced in 1938 and continues to inspire the collection today. This Big Crown Timer features a substantial 44 mm multi-piece gray PVD plated case that holds a deep black dial under a double-domed sapphire crystal. The dial has big, white and luminescent Arabic numerals and indices as hour markers and sword-style hands that also match its signature big crown at the 3 o'clock. A touch of red comes from the inverted triangle tip above the 12 o'clock alongside the black minute markers on a gray chapter ring. Touches of white perfectly contrast the black central dial evident via the inner minute markers, dial texts, date and day-of-week at the 3 and 9 o'clock respectively and the 24-hour track. The brown genuine leather strap is secured with a stainless steel buckle coated as well in gray PVD. The case has a coin-edged bezel to coincide with a similar finish to the exhibition caseback showcasing the Oris 735, a Swiss automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve and is water-resistant up to 30 meters/100 feet.
This Oris Big Crown Automatic Brown Leather Mens Watch is a store display model. It is in excellent condition and has the tags. However, the band shows some signs of wear. It does not come with an Oris box.
