NOMOS Glashutte Tangomat GMT Automatic Stainless Steel White/Silver Dial Black Leather Strap Mens Watch 635
NOMOS Glashutte Tangomat GMT Automatic Stainless Steel White Dial Black Leather Strap Mens Watch Model# 635
The big brother of the NOMOS Tangente with a more robust case, larger diameter, and an automatic caliber, the Tangomat collection is for those who appreciate straightforward design and clear lines. This Tangomat GMT knows the time where you are and everywhere else in the world. It features a 40 mm stainless steel case with a galvanized white and silver-plated dial under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It has tempered blue baton hands with slim black indices and Arabic numerals in narrow serif typeface as hour markers. This is complemented by a signed crown at the 3 o'clock position, recessed sub-seconds at the 6 o'clock position, and apertures at either sides to balance out the minimalist dial; a 24-hour / home time indicator at the 3 o'clock position and a 2nd timezone indicator which uses airport codes to denote each of the 24 timezones at the 9 o'clock position. Fitted with a black leather strap crafted from Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan® and secured with a stainless steel signed buckle. The screw-on exhibition caseback with an extra-large sapphire crystal window showcases the brilliantly decorated and ultra-thin in-house caliber, DUW 5201, a German automatic movement beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, generating 42 hours of power reserve and is water-resistant up to 30 meters/100 feet.
Like all of our watches, this NOMOS Glashutte Tangomat GMT Automatic Stainless Steel White Dial Black Leather Strap Mens Watch is brand new and comes in its original packaging.
A fairly young company, NOMOS Glashutte was founded by Roland Schwertner in 1990 to become Germany's largest manufacturer of mechanical timepieces. Situated in Glashutte, a small town south of Berlin and near Dresden, within the eastern Ore Mountains, the unique town has been producing fine timepieces for over 175 years. Known for its stringent quality standards, the appellation "Glashutte" was placed under special protection. For a company to label their timepieces as "Glashutte watches", at least 50 percent of the value of a watch's caliber is made entirely in Glashutte. NOMOS Glashutte goes far beyond what is required and upped the ante to 95 percent for their caliber movements.
