With its roots firmly planted in the Legacy of Minerva, Montblanc's Star Legacy line combines the same classic design code with some of the highest technologies of today. This Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum, which is Latin for "globe", "earth", and "world", features a 43 mm stainless steel case with a multi-layer dial and a fluted onion-shaped crown at the 3 o'clock position. The worldtimer dial is composed of a rotating upper sapphire crystal disk with an applied three-dimensional Northern Hemisphere map and meridians in rose gold tone, surrounded by a ring depicting 24 cities corresponding to the 24 time zones. Underneath is a rotating day/night indicator disk that alternates between light gray for daytime and dark gray for nighttime. It also has rose gold-tone and luminescent leaf hands with dots and a triangle at the 12 o'clock position as hour markers. Complementing it further is a scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal, local city/timezone indicator, worldtime pusher at the 8 o'clock position, and the brand's distinctive snowcap emblem etched on the crown. It is fitted with a gray leather strap and secured by a triple folding clasp. The exhibition caseback showcases the in-house manufactured caliber MB 29.20, a Swiss automatic movement that beats 28,800 vibrations per hour and is water-resistant up to 50 meters/165 feet.
