Launched at SIHH 2015, Montblanc's Heritage Chronometrie collection is a line of precision timepieces focusing on essential and useful functionalities which embody the finest Swiss watchmaking codes and was influenced by the brand's early "Pythagore" watches produced in the 1950s under the Minerva name, and by Vasco da Gama's travels. This Heritage Chronometrie Twin Counter Date features a 40 mm stainless steel case with a sunray silver-tone dial and a fluted crown at the 3 o'clock position. The dial's twin counter layout (3 & 9 o'clock positions) takes inspiration from classic Minerva chronographs - one subdial displays running seconds while the other shows the date. It also has rose gold-tone and faceted alpha hands with applied indices and Arabic numerals at the 6 and 12 o'clock positions as hour markers. Complementing it further is a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, unique railway minute track, blued subdial hands, red "60" and "31" second/date accents, and the brand's distinctive snowcap emblem etched on the crown. Fitted with a black leather strap and secured by a triple folding clasp. The exhibition caseback showcases the caliber MB 24.23, a Swiss automatic movement that beats 28,800 vibrations per hour generating up to 38 hours of power reserve and is water-resistant up to 30 meters/100 feet.
