Created with today's explorers in mind, Montblanc's 1858 collection was inspired by Minerva's rich watchmaking history, striking a unique balance of tradition and technology. This 1858 Bi-Compax Chronograph features a 42 mm stainless steel case with a bi-directional rotating compass bezel and a fluted crown at the 3 o'clock position. It has a navy blue dial layered with a subtle gradient and adorned with silver-tone and luminescent cathedral hands with applied Arabic numerals as hour markers. Complementing it further is a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, blue ceramic top ring with luminous cardinal points, railway subdial tracks, chronograph registers (seconds & minutes), central chronograph second hand, pump pushers, and the brand's distinctive snowcap emblem etched on the crown. It is fitted with a blue leather strap and secured by a stainless steel signed buckle. The solid caseback is engraved with the images of Mont Blanc, a compass, two crossed ice pickaxes, and snowcap emblem, encasing the caliber MB 25.13, a Swiss automatic chronograph movement that beats 28,800 vibrations per hour generating up to 48 hours of power reserve and is water-resistant up to 100 meters/330 feet.
