Luminox and the Pacific are inexorably linked. It aims to design, engineer, and manufacture the toughest watches for the toughest people on the planet like the Navy SEALs, whose training base is on the Pacific Coast, in Coronado, across from San Diego. This fully blacked-out Pacific Diver in chronograph form features a 44 mm black PVD case with a matte black dial matched with brushed steel syringe-style hands, indices, and Arabic numeral at the 12 o'clock position. Tritium-based luminescent tubes illuminate the watch via the hour and minute hands, along the sloped flange and inside the bezel pip. This is complemented by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, a uni-directional rotating CARBONOX dive bezel, a date window at the 4 o'clock position, and a screw-down crown flanked with pushers. The three subdials feature 60-second and 30-minute counters as well as a day indicator. A black cut-to-fit rubber strap secured by an adjustable folding clasp with safety completes the stylish look. This watch has a solid caseback inscribed with the mottos "Every Second Counts" and "Always Visible" together with a central star motif marked with "Since 1989" wherein underneath lies the Ronda caliber Z60, a Swiss quartz chronograph movement and is water-resistant up to 200 meters/660 feet.
