Blending the functionality of modern Swiss timepieces with an updated retro look, The Atacama Field series is the ultimate incarnation of an iconic design. The field watch gained popularity during the First World War due to soldier's demands for accurate and durable timepieces. This 'blackout' Atacama Field Chronograph features a 45 mm PVD case with a matte black dial matched with black pencil-style hands and Arabic numerals as hour markers in both 12- and 24-hour formats. Tritium-based luminescent tubes called LLT's illuminate the watch thru its hands and inserted along the sloped flange as secondary hour markers. This is complemented by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a black PVD-coated fixed bezel, a screw down crown with pushers and a bordered date window at the 4 o'clock position. The three subdials feature a 60-second counter, a 30-minute with 12-hour counter and an alarm with reference time indicator. Touches of white contrast is evident via the LLT's, subdial hands and date. A black PVD-coated steel bracelet is secured by a folding clasp with safety and completes the sturdy look. This watch has a solid caseback wherein underneath lies the Ronda caliber 5130.D, a Swiss quartz chronograph movement and is water-resistant up to 100 meters/330 feet.
