As a tribute to Longines' innovative spirit that has driven watchmakers from the outset, the Heritage Classic pieces are a combination of the brand's historic models' aesthetics and modern watchmaking techniques. This Heritage Classic "Tuxedo" is a faithful rendition of the 1945 original and features a slightly larger 38.5 mm stainless steel case that holds a silver-tone opaline and black sector dial reminiscent of a tuxedo's classic black-and-white look under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and bordered on by a polished fixed bezel. It also has silver-tone and luminescent pencil-style hands and beige Arabic numerals as hour markers. The lume-filled, raised hour markers and minute markers perfectly contrast the black section, which is on the dial's periphery while the small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock position flaunt the same silver-tone opaline but with concentric circles. The substantially sized crown at the 3 o'clock position makes for a convenient time-setting and winding. A black leather strap secured by a stainless steel buckle completes the elegant and luxurious look. This watch has a solid caseback decorated with Longines' winged hourglass logo wherein underneath lies the caliber L893, a Swiss automatic movement beating at 25,200 vibrations per hour generating up to 64 hours of power reserve and is water-resistant up to 30 meters/100 feet.
