In celebration of its role as the official Timekeeper of Lord's Cricket Ground and in collaboration with Marylebone Cricket Club, Oris creates a limited edition version of the Big Crown Pointer Date called "Father Time", named after the Lord's famous weathervane and figure that represents Law 12.3 of Cricket, marking the day's end. Limited to 1,926 pieces, a reference to the year the weathervane was gifted to Lord's by Sir Herbert Baker. It features a 40 mm multi-piece bronze case that holds an immaculate white dial under a double-domed sapphire crystal bordered on by a polished fixed coin-edged bezel. The dial has black Arabic numerals as hour markers and bronze-tone and luminescent cathedral hands while the red-tipped central hand points towards a date scale around the dial's edge. At the 3 o'clock position lies its signature big crown. Touches of black give a much-needed contrast highlighting the dial texts, minute track, and date scale markers. The brown Cervo Volante deer leather strap is secured with a matching bronze signed buckle. It also comes with an interchangeable bronze bracelet for a variety of looks. This watch has a stainless steel solid case back engraved with the Father Time weathervane and limited edition number, encasing the Oris 754-1, a Swiss automatic movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour generating up to 41 hours of power reserve, and is water resistant up to 50 meters/165 feet. This limited edition Oris Big Crown Pointer Date also includes a strap changing tool within a special presentation box.
