A masterpiece of design and engineering, this fountain pen is a limited edition of only 100 pieces and belongs to Montegrappa's 24 Heures du Mans 2023 collection which celebrates the centenary of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans car race. This magnificent pen offers a unique perspective on the world of high-performance motorsport. Its custom body is a tribute to the 24 Hours circuit, made of multi-axis machined aluminum combined with carbon fiber applied along the grip section, cap, and blind cap to minimize weight. The asymmetric barrel features detailing that is realized using anodization, engraving, lacquering, UV printing, and enamelling evident via distinctive elements such as multicolored acrylic passive control buttons and checkered trim rings, and an inscribed Hall of Champions with landmark car designs. Additional design elements include the 32-tooth ratchet piston loading system and rooster crest selector by the blind cap's tip while the cap is adorned with the 24H Le Mans centenary emblem (cap top & body), Montegrappa signature, limited edition number, race record dash display, and a clip inspired by the Mulsanne Straight section of the 13.629 km Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans race course. It has a medium 18k gold nib and includes a 50 ml ink refill bottle and packaged in a custom replica display case of the 24 Hours of Le Mans trophy. The length of the pen is 6.1" / 156 mm. The diameter is 18 mm.
