Cartier's legendary timepiece whose iconic design was influenced by a World War I armored fighting vehicle, the Tank was created in 1917 sporting crisp lines and a unique aesthetic, its lugs blending seamlessly into the edges of its flat vertical brancards visibly resembling a tank when viewed from above. This extra large-sized Tank Must features a 41 x 31 mm stainless steel rectangular case that holds a silver-tone flinqué dial under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The classic dial has distinctive blued-steel sword-shaped hands, black inner railway minute track around the intricate guilloche center and radially arranged black Roman numerals as hour markers along the sunray brushed dial edges. The beaded crown at 3 o'clock is set with a synthetic cabochon-shaped spinel which complements the hands and adds another touch of blue. A distinguishing factor of this reference is the beveled date aperture at 6 o'clock which is noticeably absent from the small and large-sized variants. A black grained calfskin leather strap is secured with a stainless steel folding clasp which completes the elegant look. This watch has a screw on caseback which encases the caliber 1847 MC, a Swiss automatic movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour generating up to 42 hours of power reserve and is water-resistant up to 30 meters/100 feet.
