Originally developed for rally drivers, the revolutionary Edox Chronorally was initially presented in 2008 with its sophisticated technical functions and distinct oversized start/stop pusher, making it a public favorite and official watch of many rally racing events. This Chronorally features an imposing 48 mm black PVD-coated titanium case that holds a black carbon fiber dial under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and is bordered by a fixed bezel. It has black and luminescent pointed hands, applied Arabic numerals as hour markers at the lower half, and a retrograde day scale at the upper half of the speedometer-inspired dial. Two subdials located at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions display the 10-hour and 30-minute counters respectively while the big date aperture sits at the 6 o'clock position. A tachymeter scale also runs along the flange parallel to the minute track. The crown flanked with pushers, one of which is distinctly oversized, lie at the 3 o'clock position and operate the time, date, and chronograph functions. This watch is equipped with a blue rubber strap and is secured by a black PVD-coated titanium buckle. This watch has a solid caseback wherein underneath lies the Ronda-based caliber 38s, a Swiss quartz chronograph movement, and is water-resistant up to 100 meters/330 feet.
