Built in collaboration with tactical specialist Andrea Micheli, the Recon collection is engineered for the elite and for those who never lose their way. This Recon Point Man 8820 Series Heritage honors those that serve in recon units. It features a 45 mm CARBONOX case with a matte black dial matched with white pencil hands and Arabic numerals as hour markers in both 12- and 24-hour formats. Tritium-based luminescent tubes called LLT's illuminate the watch thru its hands, along the sloped flange and inside the bezel pip. This is complemented by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a uni-directional rotating bezel with cardinal points, tachymeter scale, bordered date window at the 3 o'clock position, and a protected pull/push crown in black ion-plating. Touches of yellow contrast is evident via the bezel & dial markings, and seconds hand. A black rubber strap secured by a CARBONOX signature buckle completes the tough and stealthy look. It also comes with an interchangeable black nylon NATO strap. This watch has a screw on caseback wherein underneath lies the Ronda caliber 515, a Swiss quartz movement and is water-resistant up to 200 meters/660 feet.
Like all of our watches, this Luminox Recon Point Man Heritage CARBONOX Black Dial Black Rubber Interchangeable Black Nylon Strap Date Divers Quartz Mens Watch is brand new and comes in its original packaging.

Founded in 1989 by American Barry Cohen who envisioned developing high-performance sports watches combined with modern luminescence and legibility. Coined from the latin words, "Lumi" meaning light and "Nox" meaning night, Luminox watches are widely recognized for their tagline "Always Visible Technology" which is formally called "Luminox Light Technology" or "LLT". It uses a safe tritium-based luminescence tubes which can give a constant glow for up to 25 years. 1992 was the breakout year for Luminox as the Assistant Officer in Charge (AOIC) for Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) for West Coast Navy Seals, Nick North, together with Barry Cohen, worked to develop a watch specifically for the Navy SEALs. This paved the way for Luminox watches to be made for the US Coast Guard, US Air Force and a variety of other special forces and EMS teams worldwide.
