Luminox F-22 Raptor Chronograph Titanium Black Dial Black Leather Strap Date Divers Quartz Mens Watch Model# XA.9241 / XA9241
A tribute to Lockheed Martin's lethal air dominance stealth fighter, the F-22 Raptor. Luminox conceptualized the 9240 series by incorporating design cues from the jet itself. This F-22 Raptor chronograph features a 44 mm ultra light titanium case whose shape and make are similar to the jet's body, with a matte black dial matched with silver-tone and luminescent pointed hands which symbolizes the jet's aerodynamic nose and white Arabic numerals in both 12- and 24-hour formats. Tritium-based luminescent tubes called LLT's illuminate the watch thru its hands and around the chapter ring. This is complemented by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a bi-directional rotating slide rule bezel whose shape were influenced by the angles of the wings, a big date window and a protected screw down crown flanked with pushers which mimics the engine thrusters. The dial design was inspired by the actual F-22 instrument panel with three subdials featuring a 60-second, 1/10th second and 30-minute/12-hour counters. Touches of red and white contrasts with F-22 inspired themes are evident along the different dial, subdial and bezel elements. A black leather strap secured by a stainless steel signed buckle completes the versatile and stealthy look. This watch has a screw down caseback with a detailed engraving of the F-22 Raptor and Lockheed Martin's logo wherein underneath lies a Ronda caliber 5050.B Swiss quartz chronograph movement and is water-resistant up to 200 meters/660 feet.
