IWC Portugieser Automatic Chronograph Stainless Steel White Dial Blue Rubber Strap Mens Watch Model# IW371620 One of IWC's oldest and best known timepieces, the Portugieser collection was built and started at the end of the 1930's at the request of two Portuguese merchants, a large wristwatch as precise as a pocketwatch. This Portugieser in chronograph form features a 41 mm stainless steel case that holds an immaculate white dial under a scratch-resistant convex sapphire crystal. The dial is adorned with blued leaf hands and applied Arabic numerals as hour markers. Blue applied dot minute markers complement the black minutes track on the sloped flange. Nicknamed "Blue Panda", its two subdials sport a matching blue colorway which display running seconds at 6 o'clock and a 30-minute timer at 12 o'clock. The pushers and crown occupy the right side of the case from 2 to 4 o'clock. Fitted with a blue rubber strap and secured by a signed double folding clasp which completes the sporty look. This watch also features a screw on exhibition caseback showcasing the IWC-manufactured caliber 69355, a Swiss automatic chronograph movement boasting 46 hours of power reserve, beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is water-resistant up to 30 meters/100 feet.
