Launched in 1963, The Carrera collection's story began earlier in 1950, the year when the La Carrera Panamericana or "The Mexican Road Race" started, which ultimately breathed life to an iconic sports watch designed for sports car drivers and enthusiasts. This Carrera takes on a trendy allure with its bold dial and ceramic bezel in a monochromatic color scheme and integrated with a re-engineered inhouse movement. It features a 44 mm stainless steel case with a fixed tachymeter scale bezel on a green ceramic top ring, push/pull crown and chronograph pushers. It holds an intense green circular brushed dial under a scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal. It is complemented by silver-tone and luminescent obelisk hands, applied indices as hour markers, and a raised chapter ring with a coin-edged chamfer. Three subdials feature counters for 60-seconds, 30-minutes and 12-hours. The crown flanked with pump-style pushers sits at the 3 o'clock position while the beveled date aperture lies symmetrical inside the subdial at the 6 o'clock position. Fitted with a stainless steel bracelet and secured by a folding clasp with push-buttons. The screw-down exhibition caseback reveal the chronograph’s new and improved engine, the inhouse calibre TH20-00 (formerly Heuer 02), a Swiss automatic chronograph movement that beats 28,800 vibrations per hour generating an impressive 80 hours of power reserve and is water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet.
